Before connecting a child phone, explain what Guardian will share, who can see it and when parents expect to check it. Clear boundaries help location tools feel predictable rather than secretive.
The conversation should also cover Home and School alerts, SOS use, phone permissions and the fact that GPS can sometimes be delayed or inaccurate. Review the agreement as the child becomes more independent.
